This has been a long time coming. Honestly, as much as I hate it, I’ve also grown accustomed to sleeping her. It’s normal because I lived it, but nobody should live in a storage room.

This just isn’t right, so I am going to make it right.

Sure, I’m moving into a unfinished and unfurnished basement tomorrow, but that is definitely a major step up from this.

Here is where I have been staying.

It’s been just over two years since I moved back to NP after my father was in a horrific motorcycle crash.

I was down to my last $70 before I got my job at UPS and walked to an from work every night on the grave yard shift getting home at 5am. I kept going into Verizon to get see if I could get a job. Eventually they had me contact their temp agency and I got a job as the door greeter. They liked me enough they made a part-time position for me and became one of their better salespeople.

It wasn’t easy, but here I am.

Now I leave with a heavy heart. I’ve met some pretty amazing people at my job, and hopefully have a really good friend for life going forward.

These two events allowed me to take my first real vacation in Peru for two weeks as I trekked the Peruvian Andes and High Jungle.

For that, I am forever thankful.

In 2014 I moved back to NP with just two jeep loads of items; I’m moving away with just one car load of it; and if things go as planned, my next move will require just a handful of personal belongings.

It’s been real NP, but there’s a place I’d rather be. I’m off to join the tech industry.
